What if I don’t know the time of birth?
Leave it out. We chart the sky at 9 pm on that date, and the time never appears on the poster. Time only turns the sky; a few hours either way and most of the same constellations are up.
How accurate is it?
Positions are computed for the exact moment and checked against an independent astronomy library on every build. At print size no star is more than half a pixel out. The star catalogue is fixed at the year 2000, so very old dates drift slightly: well under a degree for anything after 1940.
Can I see it before I pay?
Yes. The preview on each design page shows your name and date exactly as they will print, over a sample sky that is the same on every preview. Your print has the real sky for your date and place, drawn by the same code. You can also have a proof emailed to you.
What comes with the digital file?
A 12 × 18 inch print-ready PNG at 300 DPI and a matching PDF, a larger 20 × 30 inch file for big prints, and a version cut for a phone screen. They arrive by email a few minutes after you pay. Every printed order includes them too.
Can I choose a date that hasn’t happened yet?
Yes. Any night from 1900 to 2100 works: a wedding date, a due date, the night you plan to propose.
What if it arrives damaged, or there’s a mistake?
We reprint it free, or refund it if you’d rather. Because each poster is made for one person we can’t take returns for a change of mind, so please check the name and date in the preview before you pay.
Do the festival designs need a festival date?
No. Any date works on any design. The Diwali designs simply look their best with the dark moon of Diwali night, because that is what they were drawn around.
Can I change the name after ordering?
Yes, if you write to us before it is printed. Reply to your order email or use the contact page with your order number.
Do you ship outside India?
Not yet for prints. The digital file works anywhere, and prints well at any local print shop at 12 × 18 inches or smaller.
Every chart starts the same way
